into...
Two months ago a friend of mine gave me a copy of the Jump at the Dock Street Theater cd's. I've been so depressed since then to listen to this incredible music and knowing that it was the last time the band would ever play together. These recordings are amazing...the greatest songs performed by incredibly talented musicians to produce what is in my opinion the greatest live performance I've ever heard recorded. Though I barely new Jump, I will always miss them.

Hey. Just discovered Jump this week and so in Love with "Mexico". I'm doing a play at the moment called Mexico, and one of the actors in it is from North Carolina and chose this song for part of the music in the play. Its so great, and its fits so well in the play too.
So, anyone in Bristol UK come and see it this thurs/fri/sat!!!

my drugs and human behavior prof. says opiates are bad for you but....
'ello my name is reba (rebecca) and i am opiate of the day. i realized i have never formally introduced myself. when im bored and in the mood to stalk people who have a fantastic taste in music you will find me on here. i like playing in dirt, rainbow sprinkles, going to rock concerts to sing the wrong lyrics out loud, and the movie "Ghost World" because Scarlets character in the movie has my name. you have probably seen me on the LJ Jump community leaving annoying random comments under the name cantgetenough. i like to go on tangents about how pugs will eventually rule the world with their paw. thats about it. oh, and as crazy as i may seem, i am no where near as crazy as tom cruise. let me throw that out there for you to chew on.
lets give a round of applause for random selection and i feel honored to be the "chosen one". i hope it doesn't mean i will be the next human sacrafice to the many volcanos that are in the south.

better late than never
So, after lamenting the end of Dock Street X, and meeting some of you lovely folks in person, I've decided to take the fall and become an Opiate. I fell in love with Jump, Little Children on September 9th, of 1999 (9-9-99 had to be a good day, right?) when they played Higher Ground in Winooski, VT with Guster. My best friend and I drove 3.5 hrs there and back on a whim that evening, and it prooved to be one of the best things we'd ever done. It was love from the very beginning, I bought "Magazine" from the merch table before Guster even began their set. I'm still dealing with my thoughts and feelings after experiencing DSX for myself. But I do know one thing, I feel priveledged and honored to have been there, to have met you all, and to have Jump Little Children's music in my life.

opiate of the day
I figured I would introduce myself since I am opiate of the day today. My name is Rachel and I have been a jumpaholic since for about 7 years now. Although I've been a fan for a long time, I spent 5 years living in Indiana and didn't get the chance to see a show until this past December since I'm going to school in Raleigh. I'm a sophomore at Meredith, studying art and international studies, and I love music, reading, and pie. You can find me on myspace and xanga.

Ahh.. People who know Jump!
Hello, my name is Jaclyn and I am definitely a jumpaholic! I have grown to love them and their beautiful music so very very much! I've been a fan for awhile now, a couple years, but it's been about a year since I've, well, 'actively' become a fan of them, I suppose one could say. I've done all that I can to spread their music and I'm so glad I found a way to get in contact with other Jump fans/fanatics... Lessie, I'm an Evangirl. I love Say Goodnight, Rains in Asia, Utopian Sky, Mexico, and pretty much everything else, but those would be the highlights. I've never been to a show, but I live in KC, hopefully they'll be around somewhere near sometime soon!

Jump-addicts Anonymous?
hello my name is heather and i'm a jumpaholic
But seriously, I've been a fan since my freshman year of college in 2003 when my best friend and I were all "Who is Jump, Little Children?" And since they were playing at Legends in Boone, NC and since we could get in free for being on the hospitality crew, we decided to go. And it was love at first sight - for me... she's still me best friend, but nowhere near as cool as me :)
