picnic!
I finished a rough cut of my entire film the other day. Yay! But anyway, I figured I would put this bit up here because it is the opie awards and some of you are in it! I'm pretty sure not everyone is going to want a copy of my whole film, so here are the awards for you all. It is taken directly from the film, so I guess you could call it a sneak preview ^_^
I got almost everyone who got an award, so I'm really sorry to the people who aren't pictured! I wasn't sitting in the best spot for filming...
there and back again
Ok, some of you may recall from dockstreet that I filmed everything.
With all of that glorious footage I'm planning on making a movie out of it.
I was just on spring break and sludged through until I had about half of a rough first cut.
I'm really excited the way it is coming out so far, and Tara had the brilliant idea to make a trailer for it to share that excitment with all of you.
So without further babbling, I hope you enjoy this teaser.
SHAZAM!
Well, I haven't had a whole lot of time since DSX to work on my footage, but I was able to cut together Cathedrals and Forget My Loss. And now I'm sharing it with y'all ^_^
Hopefully I'll get to the rest of it in the near future, as it is I have a 250GB external harddrive filled with uploaded footage so far (and many more tapes to upload). So, enjoy!
Cathedrals
Forget My Loss
(ps, some wierd static happens at the very end of this one for no apparent reason. just be warned.)
I Miss Dockstreet With Jump
*Sigh* I'm doing The Diary of Anne Franbk in Dockstreet right now, and i have to tell you, its weird in there without the guys of Jump. Up until doing the play the only times I had been in the theatre were for Jump's Dockstreet shows. Wverytime I go downstage during the show, theres a little part of me that wants to break out into Mountains So Grand. Somehow I don't think that would really work with the play though. But everytime I go in for a show i think back to this past year's dockstreet and how wonderful of a time it was and how beautiful everyone looked. Ok, I guess there is not a point to this post except to say that i hope everyone I met over Dockstreet is doing well and I think of all of you everytime I go into that theatre
Night 1 Night 2 Afternoon and Night 3
In this last set, the backstage ones and the one of Isabel and Jonny are from the matinee , the others are from the night.
And a big shout out to the beautiful lighting of Lauren Duffie. The lush colors she used were so dramatic and emotional. I think it was her best work. And that set was by far the best one ever. I even think the arrangement made the music sound better. But I've said it before and I have to say it again - the smoke, people, make it go away. So many pictures were marred by that damn smoke. There were about 4 times when it added just the right atmosphere, but having it coat the entire show is just silly.
And can I just note how sad it makes me that there is not one picture of me ever even being at any of the these shows. I was like the ghosts that haunt Dock Street - completely invisible. Ah, regrets.
high-res
If anyone has really hi-res photos from dockstreet, could you hit me up on AIM or email me or something. I want a good wallpaper and while the photos i've seen so far are nice, they're too small. Thanks.
